Exhibition at Kyabram Town Hall Gallery October – December 2024
A riot of color, shape, and function, the ‘Uccelli e Fiori in Ceramica’ collection featured ceramic tile-topped tables suitable for outdoor or indoor use, large feature vases, bowls, urns, candelabra, and a range of celebratory vessels just oozing with decorative abandon and a whole lot of joy!
All the works have been inspired by the shape, adornment, and function of ancient vessels and have been brought to life as a contemporary expression. This body of work reaches into my Italian ancestry and a history of highly decorated and sculptural ceramics, that honor the abundant gifts of Nature.
I have been smiling during the making of these pieces. They are a departure from my usual work and I hope you enjoy these works, as much as I have enjoyed making them.
