A Bird from the Bush

A light hearted exploration into the notion of Women often being referred to as ‘Birds’ What is it about a woman that is like a bird, or about a bird that is like a woman? When did we begin to describe certain types of Women, or their behaviour in ornithological terms? This collection of ceramic sculptures did not seek to provide answers to these questions, in fact it probably posed a few more! It was a visual exploration of the language that we, in this society use, and the images that such words conjure up.
