Angie’s Studio will be open for these two special days with Complimentary cup of Tea, Studio Tour and Clay Play.
Angie Russi lives and works in North Central Victoria. Her studio is nestled in the garden of her home in the main street of Rushworth; a small historic gold mining town on the edge of the Rushworth Heathcote State Forest. On arrival at the studio gate you will be invited to wander up the garden path through native shrubs and sculptures to the studio showroom door. Angie loves a chat and is happy to guide you through the studio workshop after which you will be treated to a refreshing cup of tea using one of Angie’s hand made teapots and tea bowls. You will be invited to enjoy your tea at your leisure either in the garden or in the showroom.
Angie makes a range of bespoke domestic ware from porcelain and high fired stoneware clay. She works in series that respond to her environment. Each piece is essentially ‘one off’ handcrafted artwork either made on the wheel then altered with the addition of sculptural elements and hand painted with engobe or glaze. Her works are constantly evolving and refreshing.
